Garden Open Days

Garden Open Days

From time to time we have garden open days and have in the past opened the garden to raise funds for both The Horsell Garden Safari and the National Open Garden Scheme.

This year we opened again, alongside 20+ diverse gardens and nature sites, for the Horsell Garden Safari raising funds towards the maintenance of Horsell Village Hall and for gardening projects at both the Horsell Village School and Horsell C of E Junior School.

The Safari was a great success with visitors strolling around our woodland garden containing a range of planting from moist shade, dry shade and a few areas of dry sun along with a pond, greenhouses with plant displays and a small vegetable garden.

These open days are always popular with locals and plant enthusiasts alike and it gives us a chance to showcase some of the rare and unusual plants we grow in the Painted Fern Garden.

The weekend raised over £5,000.
