LARGE FRONT GARDEN
Year-round greenery & romantic blooms

Design and build constraints:
New build property
Large front garden
Large areas of shade
Clean lines and restricted colour palette
Specimen trees
This new build house had a large front garden and driveway. The clients were looking for a low maintenance, but elegant planting scheme to be designed that would be in-keeping with the style of the house.
Designed to create a sense of calm, structure, and year-round interest, the carefully curated palette of evergreens such as Euonymus, Taxus baccata, Pittosporum and Laurus noblis provides form and structure throughout the seasons, offering a lush green backdrop that anchors the garden in every light. These permanent elements are softened and enhanced by a tapestry of textural planting, where leaf shape, size, and movement combine to add visual depth and interest. Two Magnolia grandiflora trees draw the eye upwards and help with offering some privacy.
The colour scheme remains refined and romantic, with soft white and blush pink blooms emerging throughout the year. From delicate petals in early spring to fuller floral displays from Hydrangea ‘Little Lime’, Rosa ‘Mary Delany’ and R. ‘William and Catherine’ in summer, these shades bring a sense of freshness and harmony to the space - timeless, without ever feeling overdone.
Whether viewed from afar or experienced up close, this garden offers a serene and welcoming first impression - an elegant prelude to the home beyond.
